Agree or no? The Qur'an is our guide. The Qur'an is the sign that explains all other signs. Mirza Gulam Ahmed may or may not, depending on interpretation, have been predicted in the hadith. There is no "Messiah" in the Qur'an because we don't need one. Some hadith contradict the Qur'an. Surah 25:31, "Oh my Lord! My own people have deserted this Qur'an." Why do we need a "Mahdi" to explain to us what is already explained in the Qur'an & previous prophets? Salaam. Bart |

the Qur'an is your guide to terrorism, btw the messiah is supposed to make peace in the world, I think the Qur'an does just the opposite, it tells its people to kill all infidels. How can you worship a book based on killing?
The messiah will not be part of your backward religiopn I can tell you that much, stupid camel jockies The leader of the revolution NWP |

Peace!
Have you heard of John Alexander Dowie? He was a Scot, born in Edinburgh, who had trained for the ministry and emigrated to Australia. There he gained a reputation for healing. In 1888 he moved to the United States and, in 1901, started building a city in Illinois which he called Zion City. What I wanted to say was Mr. Dowie lost a 'prayer duel' to the Promised Messiah. (1903 to 1907) ... thereby showing the power of prayer OF THE MESSIAH / MAHDI The exchange was covered by not only the Herald, but by a number of other newspapers of the United States, such as: * The Chicago Inter Ocean, June 28, 1903 * The Telegraph, July 5, 1903 * The Literary Digest, June 20, 1903 * The New York Mail & Express, June 25, 1903 * The Herald Rochester, June 25, 1903 * The Record Boston, June 27, 1903 * The Advertiser Boston, June 25, 1903 * The Pilot Boston, June 27, 1903 * The Pathfinder Washington, June 27, 1903 * The Detroit English News, June 27, 1903 * The Democratic Chronicle Rochester, June 25, 1903 * The Burlington Free Press, June 27, 1903 * The Albany Press, June 25, 1903 * The Baltimore American, June 28, 1903 * The Buffalo Times, June 25, 1903 * The Groomshire Gazette, July 17, 1903 * The Houston Chronicle, July 3, 1903 * The Trichmond News, July 1, 1903 * The Argunaut San Francisco, Dec. 1, 1903 [See: The Sunday Herald--Boston, June 23, 1907, Magazine Section, page 3. For a copy, contact The Boston Public Library Microfiche department] Dowie had claimed to be the forerunner of the second coming of Christ. Dowie was particularly hard on Muslims, whom he felt that Christ would return and destroy. Ahmad, a Muslim, had claimed to be Christ in the spirit [as well as "Imam Mahdi], who would establish the "final victory of Islam" in earth. When Ahmad heard of Dowie's claim, he challenged him to a prayer duel, in the following words, which represent a small excerpt: "If the pretender to Elijahship shows his willingness by any direct or indirect means to enter the lists against me, he shall leave the world before my eyes with great sorrow and torment. These...signs are particularly for Europe and America. Ah! That they ponder over them and benefit by them." [Herald] Dowie replied, "People sometimes say to me, 'Why do you not reply to this, that and the other thing?' Reply! Do you think that I shall reply to the gnats and flies. If I put my foot on them I would crush out their lives. I give them a chance to fly away and live." [Herald] Between the years 1903 and 1907, as reported in American newspapers, Dowie's life deteriorated steadily. One scandal followed another. He fell to alcoholism. His family and friends abandoned him, and he eventually lost his mind and died in a miserable state. The Boston Herald reported: "Dowie died with his friends fallen away from him and his fortune dwindled. He suffered from paralysis and insanity. He died a miserable death, with Zion City torn and frayed by internal dissensions. "Mirza comes forward frankly and states that he has won his challenge, or 'prediction.'" [Herald] The title of the Sunday Herald of Boston article is: Great is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Messiah: Fortold Pathetic end of Dowie and now He Predicts Plague, Flood and Earthquake." http://store.alislam.... . May God guide us all. It is a 100 years this year (1907-2007) since the downfall of Dowie. Although he was nearly 10 years younger than the Messiah who challenged him to 'a prayer duel' because of his insolence and hatred for Islam, Dowie died a miserable death. God indeed is the Best of Judges! |

Muhammad was the world Messiah.
That's all that matters. There's no need for anyone after Muhammad. Peace be upon him. Mirza Gulahm Ahmad of Qadian may have been a great teacher, holy man, a righteous man. Muhammad was the World Messiah. The Qur'an is the guide. The hadith is human commentary. Hadith should not be put on the same level as the Holy Qur'an. |

if you look at the factual evidence for the forthcoming of the messiah,I think the conclusive evidence will most certaintly point towards Jesus. We see that throughout the Old Testament there are over three hundred prophetic refrences to the messiah written hundreds of years before his actual coming. Now we see in Islam a direct inheritance of beleifs from Judaism and therefore the messiah is based off of that interpreation of the messiah. Jesus fulfilled ever single prophecy made hundreds of years before his birth, including his crucifixion, birthplace, etc.
Peter Stoner in "Science Speaks" (Moody Press, 1963) takes just eight of the Old Testament prophecies concerning Christ - not all of them, just eight - and shows that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. He says, "We find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10(17th)." That would be one in 100,000,000,000,000,000. And then to help us understand this staggering figure, he illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10(17th) silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas (approximate area : 263,000 square miles). They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes," anywhere in the state. But he must pick up the silver dollar that was marked. What chance would he have of getting the right one? "Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man, from their day to the present time, providing they wrote them in their own wisdom." Mohammed never fulfilled a single prophecy laid out for the messiah, revoking any thoughts one may have of his power. Also, as if this wasn't enough Jesus was irrefutably clean, never can a single thing be documented against him as a moral wrong doing even from his historical peers, whereas Mohammed however was a known pedophile and belligerent man. If you seek the true religion of peace and tolerance and truth Christianity is the answer |

Whoever will come back, will come back in the 'power and spirit' of the expected person.
Just as in the case of Prophet Elijah (upon whom be peace) expected by the Jews. He did not return bodily, but John the Baptist came in his stead. So also in Jesus' (peace) case. He will not return bodily, but a person in his garb/spirit. http://www.alislam.or... |
