Description of Human Nature in the Quran

Descriptions of Human Nature in the Quran:

The Quran comments often on human nature. It describes human weaknesses and ways to remedy them.

One common human tendency is to react to circumstances instead of pro-actively building a strong relationship with God which results in a meaningful life. Thus when a person finds himself in good circumstances he often becomes arrogant and feels that what he has is from his own effort alone, but when circumstances turn to the worse he becomes depressed. Also, it is often seen that when people have trouble they pray earnestly, but when the trouble is gone and they are feeling good they forget about God.

Some of the verses which describe these tendencies will be discussed in our meeting.
