Salam Alaikum!

As you are all aware, the recent political elections created a lot of chaos in Kenya. This has mostly affected the Western Region of Kenya in towns such as Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru just to name a few. As a result of the violence, there have been 600,000 displaced people in Kenya. Due to the high number of people, the aid organisations and the NGOs are unable to keep up with assisting these people.

I am currently embarking on a project to help a few displaced people and need your assistance in accomplishing this project. Please do not feel obligated to support my cause. My objective is to raise $5000 towards this project. The total cost of this project is about $25000. However, I'm not part of the celebrity apprentice to be able to commit to the entire project but with your generous donations we can at least make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.


There are 50 families, consisting of about 300 members in total, who want to move. Each family who will travel needs escorted transport to their homes with their belongings, whatever little they have. A kit with necessities to sustain them for a week will also be needed, as they will be beginning from scratch. Below I have attempted to give you the costs involved;
The cost of transport with escort, carrying about 20-25 people;
kshs 70,000. ($1000)

Kit per person, consisting of ration for a week, a blanket, crockery and medicines;
kshs 2000. ($30)


There are many innocent women and children, homeless, helpless and totally dependant on others for their basic needs.

Many church organisations are helping out the Christians. I think we as Muslims in the west should be able to help these families who have been chased from their homes, and are sleeping in the mosques, at the showground or the stadium. Some of them living in one room, sharing with more than 5-6 families, and the men sleep in the grounds outside.

Although there is no cap as to how much you could contribute, the recommended contribution is $100.00
